CAT 2016 Application form
All interested candidates can apply for CAT 2016 through online mode. CAT 2016 Application form will be available on official web portal. Candidates must keep in your mind no application form will be fill through offline mode. We requested to you all must see eligibility criteria before apply for CAT 2016. The final date of Registration is n22nd Sep 2016. Application fee will be payable through Credit/ Debit Card and E- Banking.
CAT 2017 Application Fee
- For Gen/ OBC Candidates:- 1600rs
- For ST/ SC candidates:- 800rs
CAT 2017 Eligibility Criteria
- Candidate’s co0mpleted his graduation with minimum 50 % marks for Gen/ OBC candidates or 45 % marks for SC/ST/PWD candidates. If the obtained marks in CGPA than they converted into percent marks according to university procedure.
- The candidates appear in the final class of graduation is eligible to apply for CAT.
CAT 2017 Seat Reservation
According to Indian Government Rules for Seat reservation for CAT is mention below:-
- For SC:- 15% seats
- For ST:- 7.5 %
- Non Creamy OBC:- 27%
- For PWD Differently Abled Candidates:- 3%
All candidates belongs to these caste must upload/ scan your supporting certificates at registration time.
CAT Exam Pattern
Candidates must be aware from CAT Exam pattern that includes details about number of questions, number of sections and time duration of CAT with subjects from which question papers are made.
Common Admission Test is computer based examination or online exam. All question put up in question paper are in MCQ or numerical form. The Question paper is divided in three section namely Quantitive Aptitude, Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning and Verbal and reading Comprehension. Total number of questions is 100. Time duration to solve question paper is 3hrs. Some question will be subjective type.

CAT Exam Syllabus
Syllabus will be consisting of four topics: Quantitative Ability, Data Interpretation, verbal Ability and Logical Reasoning. Candidates must be aware from Syllabus of CAT 2017. Candidates have to prepare these master topics in order to score higher marks in CAT 2017, that will online exam consist of multiple choice questions. Some question will be subjective.
CAT 2016 Admit Card
CAT Admit card will be available to download from 18th October 2016. All candidates have to bring admit card at examination center. Candidates must carry a valid ID proof of your needed on the examination day. Admit card maintains candidate’s personal details of candidates, exam center address and exam date. Candidates keep admit card secure till admission.
CAT 2016 Result
CAT 2016 results will be declared on official website of conducting authority. Results may be declared in second week, Jan 2017. Candidates who score high and qualify CAT exam with merit marks get informed for results by phone. To see CAT Results candidates must carry valid user ID and password. Results contain details about marks obtain by candidates according to section and grand total marks, after results declaration a Cut- Off marks released by IIMs.
CAT Cut off Marks
Candidates scored equal and higher marks from set Cut off by IIMs are eligible to get admission in 19 institutions of IIM. Each IIMs release their own cutoff marks for admission of students. Seat allotment is depend upon candidates score card and availability of seats. If you obtain cut-off marks it is not guarantee that you will surely get admission, your academic record, experience will also play important role for admission in IIMs. The Expected cut off marks for IIMs mention below:-
IIMs and b-schools declare merit list of candidates on the basis of CAT cut off marks. The shortlisted candidates go for Personal Interview and Group Discussion and Written Ability Test. The selection will be based on candidates overall performance in various stages of CAT. Candidate’s academic performance and experience is also part of selection criteria.
